IAFE Consumer Protection Program – October 13

MAFE will be partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to offer an exciting training to our members.

On Saturday, October 13, we will offer the Consumer Protection Program (CPP), a program developed by the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE). The CPP workshop has been recently updated to include a special section on swine influenza.

The training will be held simultaneously in East Lansing, on the MSU campus, AND in Escanaba, at the UPCAP building.

Animal ID Webinar Recording

On May 4 the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Animal Industry, in partnership with the Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibitions and MSU Extension, hosted a webinar to discuss animal identification and answer other animal related questions.

The Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibitions recognizes that volunteers are the lifeblood of Fairs.  The annual Volunteer of the Year recognition program is designed to showcase the contributions made by volunteers throughout Michigan.  Volunteers represent close to $8.6 million annually in time, talents and in-kind contributions to Fairs.

2017 Heritage Award Winners

Every fair has those volunteers that for many years have been a huge part of the success of their fair.  The MAFE board awards the Heritage Award to honor our state’s outstanding long term volunteers.
