Again this year MAFE will be giving away six (6) $1,000 scholarships to outstanding youth involved in the Michigan fair industry.

The Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibitions is proud to announce a new scholarship program for youths involved with a current associate member.
2020 MAFE Associate Scholarship application (Please note this scholarship is not open to fair exhibitors. If you are a youth fair exhibitor, please visit the MAFE Fair/Festival scholarship page)
Once again the Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibitions Young Professional Program, yMAFE, will offer scholarships to attend a fair convention. This year yMAFE will award up to three (3) scholarships to attend the 2019 IAFE convention and two (2) scholarships to attend the 2020 MAFE convention. The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development announced this year’s competitive grant cycle for the state’s county fairs to make building and other capital improvements to their fairground facilities. Additionally, grants are available for associations or other organized events hosting fairs or expositions showing livestock and commodities. Both grant proposals must be received by MDARD no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019.

MAFE will be partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to offer an exciting training to our members.
On Saturday, October 13, we will offer the Consumer Protection Program (CPP), a program developed by the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE). The CPP workshop has been recently updated to include a special section on swine influenza.
The training will be held simultaneously in East Lansing, on the MSU campus, AND in Escanaba, at the UPCAP building.
