Again this year MAFE will be giving away six (6) $1,000 scholarships to outstanding youth involved in the Michigan fair industry.

1. Each year up to six (6) scholarships of $1,000 may be awarded, one being the Neil Kentner memorial scholarship.
2. Scholarships are open to applicants that are high school seniors or currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

Click the link for the 2025 Michigan Homemaker of the Year rules and application. This contest is open to all 2024 Homemaker of the Year winners at the county level only.

Deadline to apply is Friday, August 8. Check rules for submission instructions. 

The Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions Board of Directors announces that Executive Director John Schut has submitted his resignation, effective April 25. He has served in this role since January 2023. We appreciate his time with the Association and wish him well in his future endeavors.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development announced this year’s competitive grant cycle for the county fairs to make building and other capital improvements to their fairground facilities. Click here to find out more information including guidelines and application. Applications are due March 17, 2023.
