Governor Snyder will be signing HB 4803, April 9, 2012.

“This is an act to authorize the state administrative board to transfer or convey a certain parcel of state-owned property
of approximately 6 acres in Wayne county; to prescribe conditions for the transfer or conveyance; to create a state
fairgrounds sale advisory committee; to provide for certain powers and duties of certain state departments and agencies
in regard to the property; to provide for disposition of revenue derived from the conveyance of the property; and to
provide for the disposal of fixtures and equipment on the property.”

Also, regarding county fairs
an amendment that states:

Sec 1 (3) The department shall attempt to dispose of surplus, salvage, and scrap fixtures and equipment on the property
described in subsection (1) by donating or selling the fixtures and equipment to county or other local fairs. The
department may dispose of as otherwise provided by law any surplus, salvage, or scrap fixture or equipment not
donated or sold to a county or other local fair. The property described in subsection (1) includes all surplus, salvage, and
scrap property or equipment remaining on the property as of the date of the conveyance or transfer.

Thomas E. Braun, age 73, of Fowlerville, died Sunday Jan. 29, 2012 at home. He was born April 11, 1938 to Edward Clinton and Luella E. (Goll) Braun.
He was a 1957 graduate of Fowlerville High School and served in the US Army National Guard. He was a member of Fowlerville First United Methodist Church, Rotary, the Commercial Club, Fowlerville Agriculture Society, Managed the Fowlerville Fair for over 20 years, was President of Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibitions (MAFE) in 1984, served on the Livingston County Board of Social Services and loved trains.
Tom married Dawn Wyzlic in 1967 at Fowlerville First United Methodist Church. He owned Braun Cleaners, which was founded in 1954 by his parents, retiring in 2005.
Surviving are his wife: Dawn, 3 children: Kurt (Kristin) of Northville, Keri (Kevin) Kater of Oxford, Kami (Chris) Kargel of Fowlerville, 6 grandchildren: Tim Braun, Greg Braun, Makenna Kater, Peyton Kater, Ryan Kargel and Grant Kargel, Sister: Virginia Lehman of Kansas and brother: Gregory (Cathy) Braun of Williamston.
Services: 11AM Thursday Feb. 2, 2012 at Fowlerville First United Methodist Church with Kathy DeForest officiating.
Visitation: 2-4 & 6-8PM Wed Niblack Funeral Home, Dillingham Liverance Chapel.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to: the Family Impact Center of Fowlerville or First United Methodist Church.
